Webinar series to understand different building blocks of cloud and create a private cloud from scratch
As the demand for cloud computing continues to grow, the need for skilled cloud engineers has become more pressing than ever. Companies across the world are turning to cloud services to streamline their operations and reduce costs. According to Gartner, the end-user spending on public cloud services is expected to grow by 20.7% to reach $591.8 billion in 2023, up from $490.3 billion in 2022. This tremendous growth highlights the need for more cloud engineers to manage the influx of cloud services.
However, despite the many benefits of cloud computing, there are still challenges that companies and individuals need to address. One of the biggest challenges is the shortage of skilled cloud engineers. In fact, according to a recent Gartner article, many companies fail to fully leverage cloud technology due to the lack of skilled engineers.
To address this problem, companies and individuals can take several steps to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage cloud services effectively.
One key step is to invest in skilling and reskilling employees with the latest cloud computing trends. As cloud technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, it’s essential to stay up-to-date with the latest developments. By focusing on the core fundamentals of cloud computing, companies and individuals can learn new cloud technologies more easily.
Another way to address the shortage of skilled cloud engineers is to automate IT and cloud operations. Managed services like Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) and AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) can help companies automate their IT and cloud operations, reducing the burden on their cloud engineers.
To help individuals and companies build a solid foundation in cloud computing, we are organizing a a series of webinars with various industry experts:-
- Introduction to Cloud Computing
- Overview of Virtualization
- Understanding Containerisation and Container Orchestrators
- What are IaaS, PaaS and SaaS models?
- Overview of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Overview of Software Defined Storage (SDS)
- Introduction to Object Storage
- Introduction to Serverless
- Infrastructure as a Code
- Building a self hosted Cloud
These webinars are designed to help individuals and companies gain the necessary knowledge and skills to manage cloud services effectively. The first webinar in the series, Introduction to Cloud Computing, will be held on March 15th and will be presented by industry expert Abdul Karim and me. Interested individuals can register for this webinar on the website.
In conclusion, the shortage of skilled cloud engineers is a real challenge for companies and individuals looking to adopt cloud services. However, by investing in skilling and reskilling, automating IT and cloud operations, and attending educational webinars, it’s possible to bridge this gap and manage cloud services effectively. By taking these steps, companies can fully leverage the benefits of cloud computing and stay ahead of the competition.
I know this is a bit ambitious project and require a lot of efforts to pull it off but we’ll do it for sure. If you would join hands with me to present in any of the upcoming webinars, then do let me know.
